North Central Section Spring Meeting a great success!!!

Q 25-27 April 2008 Q Osceola, IA (I75)

Our NCS members did indeed arrive by planes, trains, and automobiles.

Due to some severe storms across the North Central Section area and high winds around Osceola, many folks opted to drive.  Four planes landed at I75, several arrived on commercial flights and private plane into DSM.  Another group rode the rails to the Amtrak station in Osceola.  So we had a great turn-out despite the weather with only 1-2 cancellations.  The Iowa Chapter very much appreciates that so many traveled so far to visit with us and enjoy some time in the Heartland.  Great speakers, a hangar dance, an outing to explore the world of ballooning, and a visit to an area winery all contributed to making this section meeting a hit with the crowd.  We will be sending out a newsletter soon with more details and pictures.  Visit the News / Events page for a sneak peak - more pictures coming.
